Our mission:

To provide the best technical service and support available in the world of water treatment and compliance.

  • There is no "magic bullet" that solves every problem, so we go on-site and evaluate the situation first-hand.
  • Our recommendations will always be based on the principle: "If it were my money/asset, what would I do?"
  • We will always provide world-class service, with respect and at a fair price.
  • We believe that shortcuts are an easy route to jeopardize any future relationship.
  • "Honesty — it simplifies life."
  • "Live above reproach."

Services we provide:

  • No-Charge, On-Site Evaluation:
We will perform a 24-hour study of your wastewater, followed by a report outlining opportunities, goals and objectives for potential improvements such as: lowering operating costs, improving removal efficiencies, or eliminating an undersirable chemical from the program.

  • Not “Just” Treatment Programs - we can typically enhance wastewater operations by:
Enabling supervisors/lead operators to effectively evaluate system and operator performance
Enabling operators to treat proactively instead of reacting
    Improving troubleshooting techniques
    Improving removal efficiencies
    Minimizing disposal and chemical cost
  • Process Automation and SCADA:
  • In most applications, as part of a treatment program, we can provide automated pH control and multi-product chemical dosing control to save labor, reduce costs, and improve treatment. We can develop custom SCADA solutions, built on Inductive Automation’s “Ignition” platform, to improve process visibility, including HMIs, multi-year data trending, secured multi-location data access and reporting.
  • Support
  • We provide around-the-clock support and technical assistance for the the complete treatment process: chemistry, controls software/hardware troubleshooting, reporting, etc.

Project Up-Charge Options:

Operators at an industrial wastewater pre-treatment site were forced to perform significant unnecessary manual labor to operate a pre-treatment plant. No real-time data was stored / trended. There was no money in the budget available to support corrective actions.

Watermark supplied customized SCADA functionality for the treatment system with the ability to monitor critical parameters. The operators are now able to view the status of treatment systems and adjust parameters from a single location. All data is retained for 2+ years and the system can be integrated much deeper at the customer’s request.

Operator involvement was welcomed before, during and after the initial SCADA implementation. They now drive >90% of the design changes and updates through requests and recommendations. We respect the fact that on-site personnel have extensive, valuable knowledge. No capital expense was incurred, as all components are paid for via a minimal-impact chemical up-charge.

The wastewater treatment system needed some basic equipment in order to lower operating costs and improve removal efficiencies

Watermark demonstrated a chemistry that lowered operating costs while improving removal efficiencies. Regardless of the benefits, approval for the necessary equipment could not be acquired. To assist, Watermark proposed to provide and install the equipment, up-charging against the cost of the chemistry. The equipment would be paid out, via the up-charge, over a period of time. The cost of the new chemistry proved to be lower than the previous program, even after the equipment up-charge.

Process Improvement Projects:

pH had to be lowered while complying to strict limits on sulfur and chlorides

Watermark proposed the idea and supplied the equipment to adjust pH without introducing any additional sulfur or chlorides to the water. The method eliminated a hazardous chemical while reducing operating costs.

A process pump was incorrectly sized. This caused frequent, expensive repairs to the pump and additional TSS discharge at a DAF. The manufacturer proposed a solution by retrofitting the pump and DAF:

Watermark recommended a smaller pump and some plumbing adjustments to the existing DAF, and also aided in finding a buyer for the improperly-sized pump. The sale of the existing pump was enough to purchase the new pump, minimizing the cost of the project. The DAF is now running properly, while consuming half the energy to operate.
